I am currently able to learn new things every day while also completing work for my team. I work on different projects that aim to make processes and tasks easier and more efficient. I am also able to focus one day per week on my University studies.
I have developed my coding skills and continue to develop these everyday. I have also learnt so much about the business processes that occur within my department, but also within others. My confidence has also been improved due to meetings and exposure to new people.
I love my programme as it gives me the opportunity to learn new things every day and continue to build my existing skills. I receive enough support to aid when I begin to struggle so I always feel engaged and as though my work is useful.
My programme is very well structure as I am given one day per week to concentrate on my university work. This allows me to easily split up my workloads and concentrate on the appropriate tasks. I am also able to use my spare time to learn new things or attend seminars to expand my knowledge.
If I ever require support, I am able to reach out to any member of my team and my manger to provide the support that I need. I have also been assigned a mentor that can aid with any support outside of my team that may include personal development.
I am able to contact my tutors at any point and understand that I will receive replies as soon as they can with as much support as they can give. I also have a tutor and a mentor linked to the university that are able to deal with any issues that arent related to the work on the course.
I believe that my training at university directly links to tasks in my role to improve and provide alternative solutions. This also benefits my team as I am able to share any knowledge that I have gained and that might be useful.
There are many activities to take part in such as wellbeing hour activities like yoga to FunD days raising money for charities and the community fund. A range of activities are available to take part in during the year on one off occasions too like running events to challenge yourself.
Yes
There are so many benefits and support for staff during work but also regarding issues outside of work that may require support. I have really enjoyed my time here and can't wait for the next year to see what can happen. The business is always improving and putting the community first.
The main piece of advice I would give would be, to be friendly and try your best as all of the staff are lovely and will make you feel very welcome!
