  • I support the Hardware and Software team at IBM's business partner where I have been seconded to for the last 18 months. I work with the team to improve the IBM noise throughout each branch with enablement sessions and technical announcements direct from IBM.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed personally physically and mentally over my time. Confidence, education and happiness within the place of work makes work a great place to be. Being recognised for the work I put into the team and respected for all my efforts is the greatest reward.

  • I have loved every minute.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • as my program was the first to be ran being placed onto the secondment, the structure and organisation was amazing. My intake were the guinea pigs and it has been the best experience.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I haven't found my qualification the most transferable, but the knowledge and skills that it focused on have been what has helped me progress in my role. The need to do more physical examples of processes eg a proposal write up would have been a great use of time.

  • 9a. Would you recommend IBM to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • This has been the best 2 years of my life. My network, knowledge, confidence and personality has grown huge amounts ... I never thought I would willingly carry on with education post school, however this career is non stop learning and I can't get enough of it.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to IBM?
  • Be yourself... open minded and ready for a challenge at any point. Never turn down any opportunity that is out there, for all you know this could be the start to the best adventure if your life - just like it has been mine.
