Team leader- as a manager I have to run shifts, train colleagues, change planograms, call IT or facilities if we experience any problems, motivate my team, delegate tasks, occasionally fill the shelves.
Yes, learning new management techniques, coaching tips and tools, difficult conversation techniques. Also developing existing customer service skills and general leadership qualities.
I really enjoy the programme. My favourite parts are the learning conferences as I get to interact with other apprentices on my programme (over teams at the moment)
Very. We use OneFile E-Portfolio for all tasks and assessments. This keeps everything together in a clear and consistent format.
A lot. I have weekly catch ups with my store manager regarding my progress (at the moment over email).
A lot, my tutor is amazing and always answers the phone if I need her.
I am learning new skills and gaining confidence everyday which is helping me to become a better leader in my role.
Yes, at the moment everything is over teams, but I have just attended an event on diversity and inclusion on microsoft teams, which was a great networking event for me to be at.
Yes
Because it is a very ethical business with good moral values and the company believes in similar things that I believe in.
Be yourself. Co-op love hiring people that are true to themselves and are willing to show their truth at work. It makes us a very diverse team.
