i start by putting any stock away that comes in and i am based on the parts back counter supplying parts for DAF workshop technicians. Throughout the day i will pick parts for customers and place them on the correct shelf to be delivered. Near the end of the day i will sort out the mail and send it out to be delivered
I have learned many things about vehicles such as where the parts are and what they do. I have learned how to book parts in and out and use the computer systems such as parts catalogues and ordering systems.
I enjoy my programme very much it has taught me life skills and skills i can use in everyday life. The workers are friendly and have a laugh and will mostly help with any questions i have or if i need any help.
Its structured well, I am doing similar duties everyday which is good i am remembering many different things which help me progress such as part numbers, part locations in the stores and on the vehicles. I believe that I am well on my way to progressing this apprenticeship
I am helped every time I require it and given a good attitude by fellow employers everyday. My employer will push me to do my best and progress through my apprenticeship by helping me with online studies I have to do.
I am helped greatly I am set work to do online and in paper form which helps me progress through the course and achieve the right grades.
I have been set tasks that involve my everyday work that help me progress. I regularly use what I have learned in my everyday tasks which again is helping me progress through my course.
Due to the pandemic we have been given monthly treats such as pancakes in February and as an apprentice I was sent a chocolate bar in the post to reward my work. Last Friday it was wear red day and the proceeds went to charity. At Christmas we can donate presents to those in need to help the community.
Yes
It is a great place to work, as an apprentice you will always have your hands full, the employees are friendly and fun and you will enjoy coming in everyday.
Be yourself; companies won't want to employ people who act different after they have employed you ask questions And be prepared I came in for two days to see what it was like and enjoyed it
