I work as a Label Specialist, creating and designing the labels to be used for AstraZeneca's clinical trials. On a day-to-day basis I participate in meetings, create documentation for label creation, manage ongoing orders to external suppliers etc.
My communication skills have massively improved with colleagues and external vendors, and I am also much better at task prioritisation now too. I have developed a much greater understanding of my role and supply chain since starting.
I'm so thrilled that I got this apprenticeship, and love all the challenges and opportunities that it offers.
Very well planned and structured. Great training and lots of work opportunities to develop and gain new skills and knowledge.
I am given the full 20% of time off for university which is fair. All of my colleagues are very willing to help if I am fining a task particularly hard. It's a fantastic working culture!
Usually very quick and useful responses to any queries I have on my assignments.
It can spark ideas in your mind that you consider applying to your work. I really enjoy being able to apply the theory I learn in my studies to my work place.
There are some, but not all activities like these are possible when working virtually from home. Considering the circumstances, they do offer some great virtual events to get involved in.
Yes
I couldn't be happier with where I work! I love the working culture, and I have really enjoyed all the challenges that my role has brought so far! I've been very impressed with the amount of support and help my colleagues have given me (even in a virtual world).
Have confidence in yourself, show them your passion for the role you're applying for! Any part time jobs / activities outside of A-Levels will really help make your CV stand out.
