On a day to day basic, I work within a team to produce client design packages from RIBA stages 2-5. I have worked on a number of high profile jobs using skills and software learnt, during my time at Savills. I have a huge support network within the company.
Key design/ construction knowledge and software skills have been learnt at Savills. Revit, AutoCAD, V-ray, Adobe suite. I am provided with huge amounts of shadowing and mentoring.
Every day at work is enjoyable, I work on projects that are interactive an challenging. There is never a 'boring' day at work. I am given huge amounts of responsibility and love being part of a supportive team.
Savills have an extremely well organized and structured programme. Every week there is an apprentice webinar which is a great opportunity to connect with peers at the same level as me. Although I have an apprentice title, I am treated as a respected member of staff, by all at Savills
I receive excellent support by all at Savills, from my directors to members of staff from other departments. I am always supported and feel connected, which has been essential during this working from home period.
I am training at London South Bank Uni, overall the support is good. During times of stress the university lack support to all 90 architecture students. They are actively trying to resolve this problem.
I feel the things I learn at work benefit my collage work and the things I learn at college benefit my company work. There is a great balance between work and uni.
