My job role is preparing and serving food. I have to check food quality and ensure enough food is prepared for the following shifts. My other jobs include checking health and safety is followed by checking nothing is cross contaminated, everything is at the correct temperature. I also have to clean all the plates and crockery
I have improved a lot of my skills since working here such as my food quality has massively improved, my eye for health and safety is better as in I now know what is expected for a kitchen to run and what is missing or needed if anything. I also have improved my speed in serving food
I really enjoy the programe it allows me to do stuff that I wouldn't normally get to do within my business it allows me to expand my skills and knowledge within food. It also gives me a good support system if I have any questions about anything that's I need to ask
My programme is very well structured they made sure that what ever session I can't make there is another one I can do. They give you plenty of notice and even during these covid times they have still supported and thought of a way to still do the course.
I receive loads of support. They make sure my shifts are always covered when I have my course to got to. They are always there to help me if I have any questions about my course and if I'm unsure about anything. The business is very supportive towards my course
The training provider is always there to support me. They help with any question I have and at any time I have them I can message and get a reply even if my trainer is on furlough. They help me and spend time with me if there is anything I'm struggling with
The qualification helps me to have a better understanding of food and how a business runs. So it allows me to know more about the food I'm cooking and helps the way I present it and it helped me with the way I manage a team and just my general workload
There are always something going on with in the team and company. Such as a drink after work or going to play football in the 5 a-side. There is also staff evenings when possible or zoom quizzes. They is Always something social to do within the team and within the company
Yes
It's a really good company to work with. They are very understanding to people's situations and what's going on. They make sure you are fairly paid and that you are happy and comfortable in the work you are doing and ensuring the team works well with each and many different opportunities
The advice I'd give someone if they are looking to apply to Mitchell and butlers is just do it and go for it since it's a company which is worth working for and it's a company that looks out for you. I will definitely give the advice to just join
