No day is the same! Given lots of tasks to carry out and always kept busy. Can always ask about work people have given me if I don't understand it or need assistance. On a daily basis I have the opportunity to interact with lots of contractors and clients, I manage to go out on site a lot and see projects I'm working on and how they are progressing. Everyday is different and I face new challenges all the time with the support of my team.
I learn something new EVERYDAY! Have learnt so much since joining the team, I feel like I'm a sponge in water, always absorbing new information. It is amazing having the knowledge I have around me, its the equivalent of having ten personal lecturers, all with their own areas of expertise. Am given so much internal training, full days, lunch seminars and webinars, all supporting my developing knowledge of the industry and company.
Put it this way... I've never had a period of my life like I'm currently experiencing! I wake up every morning looking forward to the day ahead and the events that I'm going to witness, along with the new information that I'm going to learn. Savills really do make sure that I'm enjoying my time and I'm sure if I wasn't they would be there to support me.
You can tell I'm not the first person they've had taking this pathway. From the material I'm provided with, to the personal support I'm given, Savills as a company are well equipped and I feel as though they know exactly what is going on. They respect my day off for university study and I have several meetings with my line manager and team director to check up on how I'm getting on.
Is too much even possible? I receive so much support it is amazing, whenever I don't understand something or even coming across some new terminology. Someone from my team at Savills always ensures that I completely understand what I am unsure of. My team are so friendly and helpful while keeping professional and helping me learn. As I've already said, the support I receive is the equivalent of having ten personal lecturers.
UCEM, are always there to support me. The material they provide is really helpful and I have the option to watch several webinars. The tutors are very supporting and regular calls are of great help and support. Whenever I hit an issue there is always an answer and someone is happy to assist me.
The material what we learn is very relevant to the day to day job. I'm starting to see bridges between them and understand why we are learning some material. By completing the qualification along the side, I believe it helps me to understand the job and make the immediate link between between the course and the job.
Savills really encourage a family environment. Many events continue outside of working hours, visits to the local bars and pubs is always good fun, of course they are always networking related. While there is also the opportunity to represent the firm in a wide variety of sporting events. Even during the past COVID environment, virtual events have been put on.

Because of what I've experienced so far, the support I receive and the enjoyment I've have. Being at one of the top leading property advisors, it is a fantastic place to work, with the top professionals there to help. Everyone starting off in the sector, strive to work at Savills, a great name to have behind you.
Top bit of advice that I believe is key is completing as much work experience as possible and getting it on your CV before applying. Even shadowing people in the industry will help you, it also gives you areas to discuss during your interview. Make sure it's exactly what you want to do, it is a very big commitment having to balance work life and university work but it is worth it. A fantastic opportunity that if you are offered, is worth while accepting.
