I am a Junior Associate at PwC on their Higher Apprentice scheme. I work in Management Consulting. I am working on client site in the public sector, this means I get to communicate with the client on a daily basis. My daily tasks include running the various trackers for the project so we can monitor budget, actuals and payments.
I have developed my excel and powerpoint skills a lot.
I really enjoy it. Its a great company to work for, there is loads of group and societies to get involved with. There is also a great social side, I have made a lot of friends who I can socialise with outside work. It has exceeded my expectations as a company.
I feel very valued. Especially on my project, I am often working with people who are a lot more senior than myself but I still feel valued and respected. Being responsible for the trackers a lot of people rely on my information.
There is a set structure to the programme which makes the development path clear.
With regular calls and emails with the training provider I feel supported.
I have a people manager, line manager, excel buddy, buddy so I feel that I get a lot of support.
I feel the salary can sometimes not be enough as London is expensive.
There a lot of opportunities - such as getting involved with the MCA events.
