  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am a Junior Associate at PwC on their Higher Apprentice scheme. I work in Management Consulting. I am working on client site in the public sector, this means I get to communicate with the client on a daily basis. My daily tasks include running the various trackers for the project so we can monitor budget, actuals and payments.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have developed my excel and powerpoint skills a lot.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy it. Its a great company to work for, there is loads of group and societies to get involved with. There is also a great social side, I have made a lot of friends who I can socialise with outside work. It has exceeded my expectations as a company.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • I feel very valued. Especially on my project, I am often working with people who are a lot more senior than myself but I still feel valued and respected. Being responsible for the trackers a lot of people rely on my information.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • There is a set structure to the programme which makes the development path clear.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • With regular calls and emails with the training provider I feel supported.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have a people manager, line manager, excel buddy, buddy so I feel that I get a lot of support.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I feel the salary can sometimes not be enough as London is expensive.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • There a lot of opportunities - such as getting involved with the MCA events.

  • Yes

  • Great company to work for. I feel valued, respected and happy here.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Make sure you do your research and learn more about the company, come to the insight days and see if appeals to you!
