Currently my role involves dealing with mobile phone masts, predominantly the design and acquisition of the cell sites. My secondary role is i am primary contact for London Fire Bigrade. I would recommend Vodafone To Anyone! The company is next level and looks out for its staff.
I have learned lots of new skills and also built on my old skills as a Telecommunications Engineer.
I Really enjoy the work study balance at Vodafone, with the help and support of all around me i am well ahead of schedule for my apprenticeship.
The training providers program is great and has really helped me with getting back to studying as I am a mature student.
The support I receive from my employer is well over and above what i expected, Vodafone and the managers will always try their best to support you in any way that they can. they also have arranged a secondment for me into another team to help me with my units.
My lecturer is always on hand to help guide and support me, usually same or next day.
My role varies massively however the network apprenticeship helps understand how the phone masts are built.
Due to Covid all face to face activities are canceled but virtual activities exist.
Yes
The company is everything I have been looking for, I am 30 and I have never worked for a company that I feel so at home with, I feel like my management and higher management up to director level are approachable and always have time to help.
If applying for the network role, make sure you understand TCP/IP, Fibre Optics, Attenuation and basic Networking Principles this will set you up well for your interview. during the interview expect a group exercise where you need to show your technical abilities, remember think outside the box
