  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work in Margin Assurance where I support the compliance element of the team, checking that our controls are fit for purpose, documenting them and working with the audit team. I am also in charge of a small programme to expand the team's range, which involves tracking progress, risks and issues and gathering requirements.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy learning new management accounting skills. I don't find the other skills sessions as useful as I am fairly advanced in my career now so they are not teaching me much new.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • It is very well structured and the team at the training site and at Vodafone are helpful and responsive. It feels very clear what I need to do, when and how.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is always a tutor on hand to answer questions and they are helpful and friendly. I feel well supported.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It isn't really relevant to my current role so this is difficult to answer. It helps me understand the wider context better.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Some although restricted at the moment due to Covid-19.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Vodafone to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a supportive employer as a general rule, and has good benefits. The problem is that so much depends on your manager and managers are not given much training or support at Vodafone.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Vodafone?
  • Research the Vodafone Spirit and make sure you have good examples from your experience to show that you embody that.
