My role involves producing different kinds of reports (some weekly, some monthly) to be distributed across the business, relating both to Capex and Opex. I also manage the tool to create and edit cost centres, and i am in charge of a payroll forecasting model. This role gives me exposure to a great number of people in the company.
I have mostly developed my Excel skills as well as my communicating skills and my financial analysis skills. As i am also stuyding to complete the CIMA qualification, supported by Vodafone, it is an opportunity to further my skills in areas such as managing performance and accounting management.
I very much enjoy the programme: it's diverse in terms of the tasks to perform (there is no monotony at all), it's a huge learning opportunity and it gives me the opportunity to have a tangible impact in the future of such an enormous company. In addition to that, i feel very supported by all my colleagues in the team, despite the fact that i am working from home.
The programme is organised such that graduates have 3 one year placements across different areas in Finance. To me that is a huge benefit, as i am just starting my career and want the opportunity to work in different areas to decide which one i prefer for the future. And within each placement, there is adequate planning of the tasks for the graduates, taking into account their preferences and background but also their experience.
I feel totally supported. Whether we're talking about my manager or my team, i have always had help whenever i faced a difficulty at work. For technical issues there is also a wide range of teams willing to help, so i'm very happy in that regard.
I receive the lectures, and a wide range of materials to study. There is usually availability to answer any questions.
I think the qualification helps because it gives me a stronger tecnhical and conceptual basis which in turn allows me to better understand what i need to do at work and how things work.
There is a huge number of possibilities, such as societies of all kinds, networking events, social events and many others

More than being a very big company, which it is, in Vodafone you will feel that what you do really matters to the success of the business. It has a dynamic, fast-paced environment, which allows us to learn a lot and to progress our careers with confidence, being fully supported in the process.
Research, research, research. See what the company is doing, what's its mission, spirit, purposes, how those fit with the company's activities but also with your own interests/ background/ capabilities. Be bold and dynamic, be prepared to show why you have what Vodafone is looking for in an employee
