I am responsible for E.ON's early careers and school strategy. I look after the Graduate and Degree Apprenticeship schemes in particular and look at how we can support young people into employment through apprenticeships. I regularly speak with internal and external networks and through the use of our stories share what it's like to either work at E.ON or complete a scheme or apprenticeship here at E.ON.
I have learnt a number of things and developed so many skills during my time of employment here at E.ON. This has helped me to understand which apprenticeship qualification I wanted to do. I'm also able to now map over my course modules and align to projects and experience in the business
Really enjoy it!
Very. I do my programme alongside working but have 1 day per week allocated to studies. My Uni and line manager are very supportive.
Lots! My manager, team and mentors are very supportive. This week I put a call in with a senior leader to understand more about a topic that links to my module and on the back of it I've been given an opportunities to join a project to get first hand experience and see the project from start to end/implementation.
Enough - it's difficult doing this remotely.
100% - this is giving me more understanding and help to think more strategically when operating in my day to day role.
We have networks and activities on our intranet.
Yes
Amazing company, inclusive culture and 100% supportive of the development of their people. Also strong commitment to 100% renewable energy. Tenure of employees is amazing!
Mindset is key! Know what your strengths and development areas are and look for a tole that support that. Personal branding and confidence. Research E.ON and the initiative they're part of and how they give back to the economy.
