In the last 12 months, I've learnt so many high intellectual skills which I take to my role every day. I completed a 10 week training course including a few months of online learning. At the end of my 12 months, I'll be getting a City&Guilds Qualification.
Loved it. Become an Engineer for filling my dream job, met so many life-ling friends, my social life and health have increased 10 fold. The company is fantastic, supportive. Management has been great. I was sent to Bolton for my training and the training facilities and trainers were world class.
Structured training, supported by the trainers throughout the training. Assigned an NVQ assessor at the start who was there to answer any questions. 10 NVQ days a year to complete the coursework. Assigned a buddy at the start and given 4 weeks with him.
4 weeks with a buddy when you first go live in he field (Recently increased to 6 weeks). NVQ assessor assigned, 10 NVQ days. Assigned a local patch lead who will help on the field when struggling. Live in the field, you meet lots of engineers which are always acallaway
Assigned a tutor, 10 NVQ days, easy to work platform.
It doesn't necessarily help better perform my role, the NVQ is about gathering evidence of what I learnt at the training school and demonstrating this live in the field.
BT allow you to volunteer a few days a year yet this has been postponed due to Covid. Christmas party also cancelled due to covid but everyone gets a limit for a Christmas event. Other than that, from my knowledge, OR don't do anything else locally.

£28500 after your first year (For a level 2 this is out of this world) rising to £32,000 after UG upskilling. Training is fantastic, you'll meet loads of friends. Satisfying job. Driving around being your own boss is brilliant. Loads of perks.
