My Role is the checkers role in housekeeping, after i clean my rooms i check the teams rooms and make sure they are all set up and cleaned to brandstandards and covid-19 secure. I do the security checks in my department and upload them to copilot. I also make sure all the checks are done and linen rooms are tidy
I have learned loads since starting at premier inn, i have learned how to forcast the weekly schedule to complete rotas, i have learnt all the legislations in my department and how each one fits in to my role. I have also learned how to do back to works and 1-1 meerings
I enjoy learning other departmenta in the buainess and how each one operates, i believe it helps all team communicate and understand how each department works, i enjoy learning management skills and leadership atyles. Knowing how each person works helps to manage a team, and know who is working at each level.
I believe the programme is very well structured, i have my learning plans and objectives and lesson plans set out in advance so i know what i will be doing next and i can do research on the subject before the webenairs start. My tutor is easy to soeak to too which is brilliant as it puts me at ease
I dont recieve a great deal of support from my employers so i tend to try and work out what i need myself, and then ask them to check my work over once i have done it, plus my tutor is brillaint and helps me with anything i am struggerling with.
My training provider is brilliant, my tutor from my level 3 craig watling helped me get through the whole apprenticeship, ans now i have nicola and she reallybis brilliant. Asks me all the time if i need help supports me through every process i have done so far. I coukdnt ask for more
I believe the qualification that i am doing helps me massively in my role. Learning how the business runs through management helps me to see the bigger picture and helps me to help others achieve the goals and objectives that need to be met. And giving the customer a better experience when they stop with us
I do not know of any extra curicular activities at my work. I know they have done some charity events for gosh, but apart from that i havent heard of any more or been asked to take part in anything else. Premier inn may do some sport activities at other sites.
Yes
I believe premier inn is a good place to work, the staff have the ability to work there way up by doing training and apprenticeships and they really go above and beyond to make staff feel safe. I have only worked for the company 3 years and i have already started working my way up and learning different job roles.
Be professional open honest and hard working and premier inn will look after you and lead you on the right path to where you want to be. Respect is given when respect is shown and thwy are always willing to help you climb that ladder if thats what you want to do.
