My role consists of day to day admin duties and customer service relations. I am required to maintain the running of the business through the IT system provided checking in and out guests and taking payments. Other duties include cleaning the hotel and organising paperwork.
I have learnt new IT systems and developed my maths skills. I have also learnt how to provide support to other members of the team in different job roles.
I have always enjoyed learning so enjoy getting to know new aspects of my job role and the company.
Very well organised and structured, Nicola ensures that everything is taken at my own pace but is well organised to suit my learning style and shift patterns.
Alot of support, my manager was the one who put me forward for the apprenticeship and has supported me completely along the way.
Again alot of support, Nicola answers any questions I have and is happy to discuss any ideas or comments I make, ensuring I'm happy with my work and understanding of a subject.
The apprenticeship has helped me get to know more about the company I work for by providing structured learning which has enabled me to apply new information and skills to my role.
No, however I have established and maintained a positive working relationship with my colleagues and we plan to meet socially when we arr able to after the current lockdown restrictions have been lifted.
Yes
If other parts of Premier Inn are as supportive as I have found and I believe they are then I feel that it is a great way to further your career whilst also building positive connections with other people.
Be yourself and if an opportunity arises to learn more take it, the support you get makes it worthwhile so even if you struggle there will always be someone yo help you out.
