Building and testing customer products within the Rochester service centre. This can also include running ATP's and Reworking faulty units.
I have been trained in IPC and J-Standard, meaning i can solder customer products to a high standard. I have also learnt and developed better interpersonal skills and team working
I really enjoy my programme here at BAE as it's really enjoyable and you learn alot on and off the job. Training is provided to ensure you know exactly what needs doing. Health and safety is also a big factor here.
The program is well structured and organised as they plan the first year for you to train in college. You then come back to site in the 2nd and learn on the job in placements provided and organised before you arrive.
BAE offer alot of support to anyone who needs it. There are also groups within the company set up by employees for specifics eg. Mental health, Finance and loads of others which benefit all employees as there is always someone to talk to
The training provider is really helpful when working towards qualifications for my BTEC. They offer continuous support and always tell us to email or call when we have an issue that needs sorting.
The training provided by IPS International, is brilliant as it trains you to come into the job and be competent within many practical roles. They also train for mental skilled roles such as circuitry and coding. The training they offer is really well suited to the job.
In the apprenticeship we are offered extra-curricular activities such as Buddy days, Team building activity days and also offer a week away at a training centre to build our skills on communication and development.

The apprenticeship they offer here is the best one ive heard about. The training and support provided is paramount and I couldnt ask for a better training package for my job which i love.
Get your foot in the door as soon as you can otherwise youll miss out on a brilliant apprenticeship which will spark your career.
