I’m in charge of hk team. I make sure the hotel is perfectly clean and rooms. Organise the team to make sure they are happy and work well. I also deal with deliveries and all paperwork. I work closely with my team so they have all the support they need to do their jobs to their best abilities
I have learnt a lot of skills organising my time and the teams time. Ordering supplies and dealing with deliveries. Doing paperwork eg rotas. Planning training with team and myself. I gained loads if experience and I am always learning new things or ways to make existing task better. I feel I have gained lots of confidence doing this job role.
I found it very difficult at first as I started this at the beginning of Covid and found it difficult juggling work home schooling and doing this but I have got the hang of it. I have changed mentors from who I started with but they are both very understanding and have helped me amazingly.
It is very well organised and they are always very cautious about when we plan meet is and always work around my work and when is best time for me. I find they don’t overload you with work either you can always work at your pace and are understanding and help anyway they can.
My manager is 100% supporting with me and supports and help me as much as she can. She is always there when ever I have a wobble or need help with things. She is fully understanding even when my meetings are in work time to let me have time out to go and do them. I feel my manager is maybe more understanding as she has been through the programme herself
I receive a lot of support from my training provider. As I started this during Covid it’s been very difficult trying to juggle everything. They are always in contact with me and I know I can contact them if I ever need any help with anything regardless if I have just spoken to them that day
It has given me more experience and confidence in my job role. It also has made me understand things a lot clearer is some ways. In some aspects it has given me nee ways of thinking how to perform certain tasks in better and easier ways. I feel I have gained more knowledge aswell.
There isn’t really any extra activities we can get involved in. We do raise money for charity and we do all try to be involved in doing this. We do socialise as a team sometimes to build a good working relationships as we are a big family at work and at home too.
Yes
It is a very good company to work for. Especially through the Covid pandemic. They have supported every member of staff through this very difficult time. They are always there to help you grow in the business with training or if you want to develop your skills and work your way up to different positions.
You have to be hard working and passionate about the job. You also have to be flexible as things could change last minute eg shifts for sickness. It’s is a good company and will help and encourage you in whatever position you are working in. The benefits are very good aswell for every employee
