I am very pleased with how my apprenticeship went. All my physical training, the day to day job role and the NVQ days was perfect.
I have been in the field for just over a year now and I have already worked in a number of different areas and picked up lots of new skills, which has really boosted my self confidence. I have worked on new sites, retro build, OFR, OCR, ODF and covered for service delivery all within my 1st year.
I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of my programme and enjoy going into work everyday.
The whole structure and organisation of my programme was great.
I receive great support from my employer. I know I can go to my manager, patch leads, and colleagues for any support required.
I couldn't have had better support during my time working towards my qualifications.
Learning new skills and putting them into practice throughout my training period really has helped me perform better in my job role.
Yes there are options for this available. However this year a lot of activities would have been unavailable due to the pandemic and social distancing requirements.
Yes
I have loved being a part of this company and I want to stay working as an engineer at Openreach for the rest of my working career. I will happily undertake any training etc that will help me progress through the engineer pathway.
Just be yourself, work hard and most importantly be safe at all times.
