I am the connection between the business and some external companies that develop application for us. I have to translate the business requirements into specifications, creating new tasks that can be completed by these other companies. I have the opportunity to write some code myself in certain cases.
Yes, I am now using my SQL and Python skills in my daily tasks. I have used the clustering algorithms and now I am developing a classification model to support one of my projects.
I love learning and coding and this programme is a great fit for me. I was greatly surprised by the way the learning modules are structured.
It is very well structured. Considering most of the modules were initially planned for face to face sessions and all became online modules so quickly and with such a high quality is amazing.
My company and my manager are fully supporting my learning, however sometimes I am a bit short of time, specially if I struggle with a module or if enjoy a topic and try to go in more depth.
It has been outstanding, they have provided examples of the exams and sessions to explain the scope. I can book a mentor call any time or ask questions by email too.
It has already helped me to be more efficient with my time, and also when discussing certain topics now I know in more detail what I want so it's easier to explain to the vendors.
Yes, we have some groups where we discuss the apprenticeship stuff and before COVID we used to play football together.
Yes
It is a very good place to work. There are plenty of opportunities to upskill my abilities and I fell I can be the best version of myself.
If you really want to join and work with us I would recommend to apply for a role even if it is a lower band than what you'd like to. Once you are in there are plenty of internal opportunities to change your role.
