As a receptionist it is my job to welcome our guests warmly with a smile. We check the guests in efficiently. We look after our guests needs throughout there stay by staying in communication with the housekeeping team. We make sure everyone gets a warm farewell and thank you on check out. We also have daily health and safety duties to carry out throughout our shift. For example, fire doors are working properly and fire evac chairs are in good repair.
I'm fairly new to my apprenticeship but i would say so far it has given me the opportunity to learn to be more organised in my work and prioritise better.
I enjoy learning something new and having a coach on hand to help and support.
My programme is very organised and structured in the best way to help me develop.
I receive a reasonable amount of support from my employer and other apprentices in the area.
I receive a lot support from my trainer through regular teams calls, emails and i can contact my trainer whenever i need to.
Very well.
Usually ( Pre pandemic) we would have charity events to get involved in. We usually have an annual summer party that is organised to high performing team to attend. At the moment as a Team representative i get to attend regular teams calls to feedback to our OD any queries or issues raised by my constituents.
Yes
Because although Premier Inn may not get it perfect, on the whole they are a good organisation to be part of. I especially felt well looked after during 1st lockdown as we were paid 100% Furlough. This was a gesture that i will always be thankful for.
Be prepared to work very hard but you will learn a lot along the way.
