I work in the Finance department more around the risk controls. One task I takeout is a weekly report that reports on Training, Issues + Events within Finance which allows the Senior managers to see what needs focused on/ any overdue training. After I do the report I do follow up with owners for updates/reminders on their events and issues. That is the 2 things I do every week.
I have developed my confidence since starting at SLA, My communication skills have also been developed due to working at home as you need to make more of an effort and reach out to people, network with people and ask lots of questions when learning new things. Finally, Building relationships is a skill I have again developed.
I really enjoy the programme. It is something I would definitely recommend, it has allowed me to experience a role I would've never thought about, but enjoy.
They provide lots of different training that is adaptable in any role, Our apprenticeship is structured we have different tasks we set to do between calls and it has allowed me to stay on track with it all but also get a lot of experience within my team.
My Manager is very supportive and it has really helped me settle in. I have a call with my manager everyday to allow me to ask questions and set tasks.
We get a lot of support with our training provider, If I have any questions I reach out to my assessor and they are more than happy to help. I also have a call every month to help set goals and tasks and to stay on track.
Through the excel training it has allowed me to do more when using excel in my role which is everyday. I will also gain more confidence with my presentation skills the more I do them. Overall the skills I learn help me with my day to day role as they also let me reflect and get feedback.
There are networking events. I am part of a network and they run sessions virtually at the moment but they all host social events.
Yes
I would 100% recommend to school leavers as it has let me experience a role I probably wouldn't of known about but has also let me learn about different parts of the business.
Be yourself and prepare for the interview through researching and knowing about the company.
