I work in the cash allocation team. My day would start with looking at the transfer files and bank statement and allocating any unmatched payments to the correct accounts. I then look at credit card payments and cheques and ensure that there is no unallocated cash on a customer account.
I have learned a lot of new skills in this job role as I analyse the bank statements and also have learned how to investigate any missing payments or accounts that are hard to find.
I love the job that I am in as I have a good relationship with my team and also a really close relationship with the other apprentices who I started with. This makes going to work really enjoyable
My course is really well organised. I sit AAT exams regularly to be able to gain my qualification and I always have a clear idea of what I need to do and where abouts my progress is and what will happen next.
I receive a lot of support from my employer and if I am struggling with anything I know I can ask and I will always get the help that I need.
I also receive a lot of support from the college as I am in class every week and I can always ask questions and get the answers that I am looking for. They give a lot of feedback to help me achieve the best results I can
My qualification helps me a lot in my role as I am learning accounting in college and it helps me understand why we do what we do in Finance rather than just doing the job its self.
Prior to covid there were extra curricular activities to get involved in.
Yes
I believe that Sage is an employer that care about their staff and they offer so much support within the time I have been completing my apprenticeship. We do fun teambuilding things and it is a friendly place to work.
To be yourself and to show off your personality as I think this is something Sage really value in people.
