I am in charge of the day to day running of the hotel. Ordering linen and consumables, preparing rotas, and making sure the hotel is compliant with health and safety
I have learnt lots of new skills including how to manage my time more efficiently
I really enjoyed my apprenticeship and looked forward to my meetings with my assessor she was fantastic the whole way through and made it a really great experience
The apprenticeship was structured really well giving you monthly meetings and a manageable amount to do between meetings
Whitbread really supported and encouraged me making it easier. My manager was always asking how I was getting on and supporting me when needed
Endless support was given by my assessor she was always there to help if needed it wasn’t just the monthly emails I could call or message her in between
It’s helped me to think of some aspects differently and I feel it’s really complimented my role
Usually however I completed this during a pandemic so currently could not comment to much on this
Yes
I’d recommend this apprenticeship to anyone who wants to learn more and progress within the hospitality industry
Do it! Speak to your manager, and speak to other team members who have completed it but if your willing to put the work in then just go for it you won’t regret it
