Associate 2. Completing audit testing over balances on the Finanical statements to ensure figures included are materially correct. Regulary interact with clients and your team.
Currently sitting examiniations to receive a university degree whilst getting exemptions for the ACA accounting qualifications. Also improves your networking and team work skills, as well as helps build confiendence in social situations.
I really enjoy my university course it is a great opportunity and a fast track to becoming professionally qualified (Chartered Accountant). The work environment is really good where there is a strong support system among your peers, and seniors both on different clients and within your group.
I always feel like a valued member of the team receiving feedback from my seniors and managers, helping me to improve my work going forward.
The programme is extreemly efficient and well structured with introduction lectures before the start of each year as well as placement training before the start of each placement to prepare you. The exams and studying is slightly harder than normal but worth the while as the exams you sit give you exemptions from 12 out of the 15 proffessional exams.
The course is well supported, with support receivable from your lecturers who are more than happy to make time for you if you have any questions, as well as support from your individual tutor who can help with any personal issues that may arise. Additionally we have 2 course directors who are avialable for any further problems we may encounter.
We have a "champion" in each office that we attend placement in, who helps us with settling into the office and any queries we have, as well as a buddy in the year above, a people manager, and 2 placement programme managers.
The company provides us with accomodation for the duration of our placement which includes rental costs and utility bills, as well as paying us the same salary as employee of the equivelant grade to us.
There are many company events and activities to get involved in and depend entirely upon the individual as to what they choose to get involved with. Events include networking with local business and companies as well as voluntery/charity work and sports clubs including football leagues against other companies and hockey matches against the local univeristy.

It is an extreemly friendly environment to work with a great atmosphere both in the office and whilst out working on client sites. Additionally there are many opportunities to progress your career further as well as providing various opportunities outside of work to get involved with to suit various different interests and hobbies.
