I am a software engineer working in platform engineering. I code using Java and have been learning Python with my apprenticeship. I use the apprenticeship skills to interpret data outputs from my code.
I have learnt fundamentals in data analytics using computational methods, as well as coding in Python. I have extended my knowledge of statistics and how to apply this to my daily role. I've also consolidated learning on how to present key information to different audiences.
The learning workshops are fun and interactive and I really love the subject. The assignments are fun to complete and come with stretch tasks for when I want to understand the content a little more.
The programme is very well structured. We have workshops roughly once a fortnight with assignments in between, plus a hackathon for each core module.
My employer is very supportive. I have 8 hours per week to complete my apprenticeship work.
I have a tutor dedicated to guiding me throughout my apprenticeship and he is always quick to respond to my queries, as well as provide extension reading material when he feels necessary.
My apprenticeship provider is always asking me to link my learnings to my work so I try and apply everything I have learnt to my daily role. Given I work with databases and datasets already it is very easy to relate the two.
Yes, I am an active member of many employee networks and attend socials, webinars, networking events.

They have been very supportive throughout the pandemic. Vodafone are flexible with working hours, working from home, and understand health and wellbeing are of great importance. Vodafone also do great work in the community to support those using technology.
Look into Vodafone's community work, or the Vodafone Foundation. It's a great way to see how Vodafone's technology can be used for good.
