  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I'm a hotel receptionist at Premier Inn, im currently doing an apprenticeship level 3 to further my career. My job consists of checking in guest, keeping them safe during their stay. Making sure they have everything they need, also checking them out, setting up house keeper tasks, and also do finance checks.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt alot from my job role and also from my apprenticeship course. Especially the business side of hospitality. Legislation laws, how to deal and read customers.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my course as learnt so much. Maybe go on the the next level later on.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My course is very well organised now I've got a new tutor who is very helpful with everything, getting me extra tuition and booking me on virtual classes, where as my tutor before did not explain things very well and was not helpful at all.

  • I do not receive much support from my employer at all

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My trainer is very helpful, im glad they got rid of my old tutor and replaced with her as don't think I would be anywhere near the end and would be struggling loads

  • The qualification helps me to perform better in your role by being more confident with the knowledge or the subjects/modules of my course

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • They are a good company to work for with alot of benefits. They have discounts on shops hotels etc the pension scheme 8s good, also they have this share save which 1,helps you save and 2 you can selling your shares at the end of the time period and could end up with more money.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • Be yourself show that you are willing to learn and want to progress, like doing the apprenticeship courses
