Head chef count stock manage team day to day delegation in the kitchen. Making sure all food safety and health and safety is being followed. Working with other managers to make a stronger work force. Plenty of cooking morning Or night. Helping other departments when needed or other hotels if needs be.
From basics of maths to a P&L spreadsheet to diversity in the work place. I learn every time I do a new module it also helps refine previous manger skills that I already had or helped confirm I am doing what I need to be doing. I feel a lot more stronger
I look forward to having calls with my mentor. I have a lot of self doubt but after giving my answers and hearing I’m on track there’s no better feeling I feel super confident and feel like I can only get better. So I enjoy every bit from learning to demonstrate
At first when I had a different trainer it didn’t feel organised. I had many doubts and nearly left but after getting a new trainer in I have seen lifetime and what they can really do as anything I need or ask for they can provide to further my learning
I receive full support from my employer my boss is great and is also doing a apprenticeship with the same company so she can really help and guide me through it and if I can not pick her brain. My colleges are always around and happy to help if needed
At the start it felt like hardly any. However after a switch of trainer I feel full support from my training provider. I can tell I’m definitely reaching a new level of learning and will be I. Corse to get my qualification thanks to the full support revived from them
Unfortunately havnt been able to demonstrate properly just yet. But I know it will improve when I’m in meeting taking about finical goals it will help with training new staff and giving them passing on my new information. It will help in the kitchen with managing team and just running through health and safety
