  • How to handle a team of both housekeeping and reception Become more confident with the team Problem solving Overall, I have learnt new skills needed to become a supervisor.

  • Really well, sometimes i can get frustrated with myself because I know I can do the work. Loved the experience so far!

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Very! I have had continuous help from my life time trainers. I was consistently organised throughout the programme.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Overall, the support was good however, due to the coronavirus, we haven’t had much support in person due to social distancing which hasn’t helped! My employer could of been a little more sympathetic!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • So much support! It has been a bit bumpy as when I first started my regional trainer then got moved to a higher level which led me to having a new regional trainer and having to build that relationship over again! Always there though whenever I needed them!

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Very well! Since doing the programme I have become more confident, I have gained skills I never thought I had! I have the confidence now to become a very successful supervisor!

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • We have a few fundraisers now and again for our sponsored charity! Apart from that we haven’t been able to do much due to the coronavirus.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Whitbread to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It’s just a really fun way of learning, if there’s anyone like me who doesn’t really feel confident with exams etc this is the way forward! It has brung so much confidence within me and I have knowledge I never thought I would ever have! As I love my job and I know I’m good at it, the programme was fairly easy for me!


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Whitbread?
  • Don’t ever doubt yourself. If you want to go for it and enhance your skills lifetime is the best way to do it. So much help along the way-if you are ever stuck there is always someone on hand. This is the way forward of making a change to your life!
