my role is an apprentice technician, this includes watching over and working alongside an assigned mentor, this is doing any type of maintenance work on Fleet vehicles which will go on hire once repaired or serviced, tasks include, diagnostic work, servicing, clutch replacements, headgasket replacements, PDI inspections
I feel I have learnt and are still learning and developing skill, alot of the fleet vehicles will bet renewed and are generally less than 3 years old so always working on new vehicle with new technology on
I enjoy the hands on working side more than the theory when attending a training centre, mostly because I feel I learn better when doing the job or being shown in person how things are done
program seem organised although this year its been interrupted during covid 19 lockdown however we still received regular online training through teams
I feel I recieve plenty of support from my employer, they make time for me to do so many hours of training per week, they allow extra time for me to do certain jobs which need documenting for my course work
we attend weekly online training sessions during coving 19 to keep refreshing our knowledge, and will be attending week long training blocks again, they often contact me for reviews with my assessor
I feel its helps me gain knowledge and will intern help me to become more efficient and productive in my work place
not currently as when I started at enterprise coving 19 have just began and everything and everyone was in lockdown
Yes
they are a friendly hardworking company, they are customer focused, I enjoy working for them, as I get certain benefits for example, free health checks yearly, we get discounts when needing to rent vehicle ourselves as employees, pensions are good, as are yearly bonuses, you often get recognised and rewarded for hard work
I would advise them to do it because they apprenticeship program they send you on is good, and there is always a very wide variety of different vehicles, makes and models to work on to gane as much knowledge as possible, once qualified you also get upskilled and sent on courses for things like weight testing, crane and tailift servicing, HGV and forklift licence which enterprise will pay for you to complete as well as pay you more hourly the more skilled tech you become
