  • My knowledge about professional services was furthered at MMC. I learnt about the four companies that form MMC, such as Marsh, who are a global insurance broker, with data driven risk solutions, and Guy Carpenter, who provide strategic advisory services, and offer reinsurance. There was a case study involving a client who needed insurance for a piece of artwork. This developed my client management skills, and furthered my analytical and problem-solving skills, such as identifying risk and costs. Also, there were presentations delivered on interpersonal skills, which helped me and also gave me an insight into how professional relationships are conducted, in order for business transactions to be successful.

The hosts were great as well, and the guest speakers delivered engaging and thought-provoking presentations to the group.

I learnt about the four companies that form MMC, such as Marsh, who are a global insurance broker, with data driven risk solutions, and Guy Carpenter, who provide strategic advisory services, and offer reinsurance. There was a case study involving a client who needed insurance for a piece of artwork. There were several speakers who were clearly experts in their field, and the structure of the day was coherent and well-thought-out.

I learnt about the four companies that form MMC, such as Marsh, who are a global insurance broker, with data driven risk solutions, and Guy Carpenter, who provide strategic advisory services, and offer reinsurance. I had a great insight into each of these firms, and it motivated me to apply for an apprenticeship at MMC, their culture and expectations really appeal to me.

As I mentioned before, I applied for an apprenticeship and I now have a digital interview, so who knows, I may end up working at MMC.

  • The work culture and the expectations are superior to a lot of firms. The diversification of MMC also helps with understand what they focus on and how they deliver a great service.

  • Look on the website, find some videos, look out for any experience days like I had!
