Work on large corporate clients and completing audit work related to the client I am on. I also attend stock counts at various businesses to ensure their stock listings are accurate.
I have learnt so many new skills and developed existing ones. Some of my new skills are directly related to work but some are also related to general life such as presentation skills, networking skills and communicating skills.
My programme is challenging but also engaging and interesting. There are times that are harder than others but that will come with any job I imagine. I am constantly learning new things which encourages me to continue.
The programme is very well structured with various different contacts / support available should there be any questions etc. We have various catchup calls with our counsellor to ensure that everything is running smoothly
There are various different supporting networks available. Everyone is assigned a buddy and a counsellor which are people who we can communicate with and ask any questions / express any issues should there be any.
The support for training is very good. Some more designated revision days would be welcome but in general the college days are very well organised and will never clash. As well as this, your managers are aware that you have exams to study for and will refrain from giving you lots of work when exams are upcoming.
My qualification through my training provider has a direct correlation to my work role. We learn lots of skills which can be directly applied to our work and therefore allows us to perform more efficiently with a much higher quality of work. As well as this, you won't need to ask as many questions to your managers / seniors as you begin to understand more and more as you progress through your qualification.
There are lots of extra-curricular activities that are available. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get involved in many due to COVID-19. However, I have been involved with multiple schools events to discuss and advertise apprenticeships at EY which has further increased my confidence, presentation and talking skills.

They are a large professional firm with a lot of opportunities to progress in your career. The networking available is invaluable and to gain your qualifications from such a large firm along with the work experience will make you incredibly employable in the future.
Confidence and communication skills is key. At EY, we are constantly working with clients which obviously requires a lot of communication. Employees at EY need to be able to communicate effectively with our clients and ensure work is done efficiently. If you are able to portray yourself as a confident, intellectual individual with good communication skills then you will be at a big advantage in the application process.
