My roles involves planning our workforce strategy for our quality department, this involves supporting the business to carry out workforce planning, to develop recruitment and selection approaches and review our reward and recognition. In addition I need to ensure that the products and services that are being provided do so to the high level expected by the organisation.
Yes, the new knowledge, skills ad behaviours that I have developed during my time on my apprenticeships have been vast. I have been able to learn more about legislation and new and emerging trends that are being used within our sector. The business has supported me in being able to put my new knowledge into practice and has provided me with more exposure to projects to support with my development.
I absolutely love my apprenticeship programme, it is giving me the opportunity to learn more about a sector that I have been passionate about for a long period of time, but have never been able to get involved in. The support I get from my Training and Development Officer is brilliant, she has adapted her approach to ensure that I get the most out of our sessions together.
The programme is structured really well, it is made up of 1:1 sessions, group workshops, webinars and e-learning. The topics that I have been taught flow together really well it and I can see how I am building up my knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout each learning phase of the programme.
My employer is very supportive of me completing my apprenticeship and getting the most out of this learning opportunity. They attend very progress review that has been scheduled and these take place every 12 weeks. When reviewing the progress I have made with my knowledge, skills and behaviours that are able to provide me with the support I need to develop in specific areas.
I receive great support from my training provider, they delivery group workshops which are always really interesting and interacting and these are followed up by 1:1 sessions that focus on my individual development needs. I started to fall behind slightly and my training and development officer supported me in agreeing a plan to get me back on track and made sure that I did.
The qualification helps me to perform better in my role as it has helped me to understand different theories, new and emerging themes and it has opened up my network greatly; which has enabled me to access a varied amount of information and a wider support network. I have been able to apply what I have learnt in work which has helped me to develop further.
Yes, especially during the COVID19 pandemic. I am involved in arranging social events for the company, this has all moved digitally now due to the pandemic, but we have monthly quiz events, we have started a company Task Master challenge and we have recently started a virtual charity walk around the world for the charity Mind.
Yes
Realise Training have provided me with real quality training that has helped me to develop a lot during the time I have been on my apprenticeship programme. The TDOs within the business are very supportive and make all the different learning topics fun to learn, they also encourage you to achieve the best you can.
Yes, do it. You will get all the support you need in order to achieve your qualifications and develop as an individual. Make sure you work hard though as you need to make sure you are committed, they will give you everything you need to achieve but you need to put the effort in too.
