Shadowing employees in the tax and transaction services division at PwC Belfast. Working on past projects as well as live client projects. We always had an apprentice beside us in case we stumbled across any difficulties.
Developing office-based skills such as writing emails and Microsoft Excel.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Business Insight Week. It was surprising that we were able to carry out the work that higher apprenticeship employees do on a daily basis.
They treated us like actualy employees. They gave us an expensive laptop to use throughout the week and bought us dominos on the first day!
Very well organised. Our time was split evenly between tax and transaction services and every day was timetabled perfectly.
Training in Microsoft Excel and Outlook as well as in most of the management software that PwC use.

I was surprised to get any pay for one week of work experience. Very high hourly rate. I would have happily worked for nothing.
As far as I know there are many social outings as well as some sports teams.
