I work both in creative and marketing where my days are never the same, we have a small team and we pick important, timely pieces to write and develop to attract the right target audience to our company, some days I can be working with PPC and SEO and the other I can be doing photography or designing posters.
I have further developed my team leading skills which has helped with working within my small team, being able to get them to work in a more timely manner, producing better work and being motivated to push their limits and learn more. I have also been better with my time management and this has allowed for easier days.
My apprenticeship is enjoyable as I only have to put a small amount of time with my tutor who is always on standby to help me if required, from there I can go off in my own time and work towards the project of each competition and feel like the time is mine own.
The programme is quite well organised, ILM do like to ask the same questions month after month which can be a bit of a pain as I have already proved that I can talk about certain things but the tutor lessons with Realise (learning employment) are great and they are always adding more knowledge which I can start to use instantly.
Support is always available from my tutor and manager where it is required. My tutor is always available and gets back to me within 24 hours to help me with anything I need and they can get me to look at questions and examples in different ways so it relates to me and I can then use it in my line of work.
I receive the exact amount of support I need from my training provider, they teach us what we need to know and let us go to work, we can then get back in touch with them as we need to so they can give us more guidance if required or just check up on how we are doing.
My qualification has made me more confident in my role and I have been able to take on roles which I had never thought i would this early in my role. It has also allowed me to work closer with my team and we have started to produce work better than we have before.
We have plenty of opportunities for charity work at our company which we are proud to do and try to get as many colleagues as involved as possible to push their limits and raise for charities they love. Due to COVID we have spent more time out of work getting close to our colleagues on a digital scale out of work hours.
