My roll and what I do on a day to day basis is take apart an Adour engine, inspect all the different modules and components and decided which are serviceable and unserviceable, then I put the engine back together. I have to do this following a disc from Rolls-Royce.
I have developed communication and team working skills as I am required to do both regularly, I have also learnt how to use different tools that I didn’t previously use.
I really enjoy the programme I’m on as it is a great opportunity and I get new opportunities, it also allows me to improve my skills.
The programme I’m on is very well organised and structured, I knew where I would go within the apprenticeship and how long I’d be in different areas for, I am also aware of future courses and learning opportunities I’ll be participating in for many months ahead.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, and from other employees
The training provider gives a lot of support, and offers a lot of help.
I think the qualification through the training provider helps quite a lot, as there is a lot of crossover in what I do for my qualification and what I do in my role at work.
There are different opportunities and activities at work such as a music/band activity.
Yes
Babcock provide different training opportunities and a good chance to better yourself and your future, they provide a lot of support.
To be yourself, be honest and ask many questions about everything, always be open to conversation.
