  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I line manage a team of quality assurers through conducting their 1-2-1 and annual PDR's. As well as offering adhoc support as and when required, I also look after the project management team by running monthly meetings and checking the quality of their work. I communicate across the business on changes to the programmes and attend a range of meetings with our internal and external stakeholders.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • The Learning and Development Level 5 qualification is providing me with the level CIPD qualification and enhanced my understanding of the practices of learning and development across a wider range of business contexts. This has improved my understanding of these techniques and supported my development in my current role to ensure that all training interventions are inclusive.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Realise to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Interserve Learning and Employment has you as the learner at the heart of everything they do. They are supportive of each learner through every step of their journey and no problem is too small to help with. The calibre of the tutors is excellent with a range of industry experience behind them and a real passion for their subjects.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Realise?
  • I would advise to take time to complete the application form and send over any evidence of F/S to the tutor early. Enjoy completing the initial assessments although they seem time consuming you will learn a lot about your learning style and current levels of numeracy and literacy.
