If we are having a client or internal workshop I use creative platforms to create the format and materials for the day. I also research into upcoming technologies. I am working with a client right now providing them with learning evaluation for their employees after training.
I have learnt how to confidently speak and hold myself during client calls. I have learnt a lot about Excel and how to use it's many functions. I have also learnt how to be a project manager as I own a number of processes.
I enjoy the blend of working and learning. It feels as though I am completing so much more with my time. I am able to work and get paid whilst not sacrificing my learning and degree.
Very well. Each week, during term time, we have a day off to study. Twice a module we also have two day workshops to go through all the material with a tutor.
My Employer is very supportive about my study time. They make a huge effort to block out that time for us and do not expect any work to be completed on those days. They are also on hand to help with any module material when it relates to our organisation.
The tutors are quick to reply to any emailed questions and our skills coach is the first point of contact for any issues. Overall very supportive.
The link between the qualification and role at work is not very strong. There are instances of overlap for example we were learning about process maps at Uni and then my manager asked me to create one at work. But this does not occur too often.
As we are in lockdown working from home, there is less the moment. but regularly there is lots to get involved in. Sporting teams, bake offs and many networks.
Yes
EY is a great place to work where you are put first and cared for. EY make an effort to ensure their employees are safe and able to do their job - and the work is not put over your mental health.
To aware that EY is not a bonus driven culture. The pay is relatively small compared to other banking firms. Make sure you are driven and want to join a firm where you will have opportunities to be pushed.
