  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves the managing and overseeing of the Ely outreach service that provide support to adults with Learning Disabilities and mental health. I make sure that all the support is delivered, manage the staff team, liaise with the MDT, write and maintain support plans and risk assessments, complete reviews.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • During my research for the units I have been completing, I have improved my knowledge in several area's such as Governance and legislation within health and social care.

  • I am thoroughly enjoying my course.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • My assessor is extremely organised, I know what units i need to complete before we meet each month and what KSB's I need to evidence for the completion of each unit. My assessor is also supportive, informative and encouraging.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer offers support and guidance and is letting me set time aside to meet with the assessor each month during my working day.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support offered is extremely helpful, motivating and I am making steady progress through the course. I did have an assessor change 4-5 months into the course but this was a blessing as the new assessor is far more competent and knowledgeable.

  • This will support my performance with all aspects of my role.

  • Stay with them, they will value you, look after your well being and support you to grow within your role.
