My role as a Electronics Apprentice involves completing 2 qualifications during the first year and then moving on site in the final two years to carry out placements within the company.
I have learnt a lot about electronics and key principles that will aid in my placements. I have also developed my organisation and professional skills.
I enjoy the programme a lot and think it is a good opportunity for anyone looking to get into electronic/technical career path.
It is very well structured considering the worlds situation and people are always available to contact if help is needed.
A lot of support is received from BAE Systems and are always looking to improve the scheme.
A fair amount of support is given and they are generally willing to answer questions and help with the assignment/practical assessment.
The qualifications definitely provide a strong base for the role however these will be further developed through others in later years.
BAE Systems and their training provider have lots of opportunities for personal developed and events to get involved in.
