I am Running retirement villages, with residents who have a basic care need or high care. Looking after p&l accounts, running functions bar, coffee shop and bistro. Designing menus, event nights and carveries. Maintaing a high standard service while training existing and new members of the team. Supporting multiple sites as well.
I have learned ways to evulate myself and find new ways to approach my team. Highlighting skills of my staff and ways of supporting them in the most beneficial way to get the best out of them. I have also learned alot of different project management tools to assist in running events.
The programme was really an eye opener, it gave me the knowledge of why we do certain things and the reasoning behind it. Also new tools which maybe easier to use. Meeting like minded individuals was a plus to be able to share stories and experiences of everyone really helped learning.
The structure was well broken down to topics and subjects, even with covid the learning was able to continue remotely. The staff knowledge and support is unparalleled. Each stage was was well documented with plenty of breaks so you didn't suffer information over load or tiredness.
Elior was fully supportive, allowing me the time to learn and additional time needed to be able to study. After speaking to my line management they even sat down with me and went through my project to help make sure I was on the right track. Can't fault them at all.
There support and guidance was spot on, any issues someone would get back to you and help point you in the right direction. The tutor was perfect, friendly and very helpful.
It helped me gain a promotion, and be held in a higher regard. I have also been asked to head up and run other projects for the company. The amount of tools your given is brilliant. It definitely makes the job easier and the gained knowledge fills you with confidence.
