To gain experience and learn how to manufacturer, repair or overhaul, gas turbine engines. Daily basis consists of using and understanding processes to aid in the production of a gas turbine engine.
I have learnt how to follow specific instructions and understand engineering drawings. How to use specific tools correctly.
The programme is a very challenging one with lots of experience gained along the way. It is a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
The programme could be more organised in implementing apprentices into the workplace and what they need in order to complete the apprenticeship
The employer is always open to listen to any feedback/ problems the apprentice is going through or any support they are in need in along the way.
When working toward qualifications, more support could be provided as it is a very unclear and what specifics the apprentice is required to complete.
The training providers help understand how the products the company make work, however aren't as helpful in actually understanding how to make the products in the first place.
There are many different activities ranging over a large spectrum. Some examples are: - Sport teams - STEM events - Volunteering activities

Its a great place to work with lots of experience gained along the way and provides a good qualification that can help you in many aspects of life.
