I am apart of the London office however placement was virtual this year due to the pandemic, on a day to day basis I am apart of an audit team, testing detailed transactions and speaking to the clients on daily calls with any issues that arise.
I have become more knowledgeable and confident this placement especially as everything is virtual, you are expected to speak to the client infront of the whole team which can be daunting at times.
I have enjoyed my programme as it integrates placements within the 2nd semester of years 2,3 and 4. This is a really good approach and get you used to to what life will be like when we work full time
The programme is structured very well
We have career coaches which we can speak to with any concerns and our talent manager if we have any issues.
The university are very good at offering support such as mock exams and marked feedback from any pieces we submit
As we are doing the ICAEW qualifications whilst at uni, the knowledge we have learned is easily transferable in the workplace, such as the financial accounting reporting exam is key.
I have not heard of many sporting activities taking place
Yes
Its a great place to work
Make sure you know your stuff, especially when going through the assessment centre
