I am an Audit Associate at Asset Wealth Management in the More London office at PwC. My day-to-day role was to request supporting documentation form clients to confirm balances or explanations. I would then prepare working papers in which I would test aggregate amounts and any controls set in place.
I've gained a lot of experience in Excel. I now know how to use different functions and it has helped me to become more efficient. I've also honed my communication skills quite a bit. Having difficult conversations was a big learning lesson for me.
I really enjoy my program because it is a good mix between working and studying. I have my normal university experience as well as work placements every year. It is really preparing an equipping me with the right skills to enter the workforce.
The structure of the program is the main reason why I applied and joined this program. It is a structured in such an elegant way that I can study and qualify for exemptions for the ACA as well as have my work experience count towards the PWE requirement for the qualification.
I have received enormous support from employer. We are provided with a plethora of resources and contact from day one. I had my buddy, manager, career coach, tutors, program manager and course director support me through any problems.
My qualification is aligned with my line of work. This really helps me do well in my exams and work.
There are plenty of social activities to be involved with, even in lockdown. There were online cooking sessions, book reading sessions and even get to know new associates sessions.
