  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am an event administrator and assist with the organisation of Events for the Bank of England. This consists of administration tasks and communicating with relevant internal and external clients. I am also a secretary to our Centre for Central Banking Studies Director.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have gained a lot of skills in project management and how to effectively communicate and plan out projects using the best tools and techniques.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed my programme, it's a shame it's been during the pandemic and have had to do most things online and virtually which has taken away the networking and social aspect but it has also allowed me to be flexible with my learning and give me more time.

  • Very organised. My coach has been amazing and supportive. I have managed to say on track and meet deadlines in order to successfully complete my diploma.

  • A lot of support from my team managers and direct manager.

  • A lot of support - really clear on what needs to be done and where I need to be, felt on track the whole time.

  • It has helped me to enhance my skillset and gain new skills to help bring to my current job role. I have gained confidence along the way.

  • Yes - there is an opportunities exchange page for the Bank to advertise things that are available that you can get involved in. There are also a number of different networks in the Bank

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a very good place to work with the amount of benefits it offers. It's a friendly workplace and very supportive towards well-being. It's a very flexible place to work which you would find hard to find anywhere else.
