  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I Manage a House to accommodate families with seriously sick children in Hospital, the House is run by a charity. I engage with stakeholders, families, NHS professionals and Hospital front line workers. I manage a team of six staff, made up of Housekeeper, House Assistants and Assistant Manager. I set goals and coach my team to bet the best they can. Day to day tasks cash handling, people management, data base, writing reports, updates and assessments.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot, my favorite subjects were. Stakeholders, matrix and engagement levels Coaching and learning and development Project management, Gant charts, Project lifecycle Negotiating and influencing. Most of all I just feel more confident I also have the any more tools in my tool box. I know i have been able to manage my team better.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I did enjoy, at the same time I faced many challenges in at work, with staff shortages and was unable to dedicate the time to this project at the same time my tutor left. this made things very difficult

  • They are amazing, they care so much for their employees

  • Just do it, don't worry. it can stress people out if they are not confident.
