I am working in Customer Care at McDonald's, this job involves running the dining area and keeping it clean, as well as catering to the customers needs. I also am required to go into the kitchen to help with the Crew Members when needed, Due to low staffing,or during a rush hour.
I have learnt various new skills thanks to this apprenticeship, which include but are not limited to helping manage a shift, knowing what legislative responsibilities we have as a business, catering standards of other members of the hospitality industry, as well as the average pricing of various products that we sell, and what it would cost monthly to replenish them.
I enjoyed working on this apprenticeship due to the skills I have mentioned above, as well as it helping with my general leadership skill, social skills, awareness to a customers needs, as well as what is required of me from a business in order to maintain business standards and professionalism in the workplace.
The programme I was on was very well organised and structured. I always had help available to me when I needed it, as well as guidance and feedback on what I could always improve on. It was also very well built, so that I always knew what I had to do and when.
The support I received from my employer, mostly my social manager, was fantastic. She was always there to guide me as well as answer any questions I may have had about the business. She was also great at getting me any information I may have required to help me in my apprenticeship.
My training provider was fantastic, and always willing to help me when it was appropriate. I was always given a hand when I did not quite understand something, or need something to be clarified for me. I could not have asked more support from him, he was always willing to give me a hand.
I feel that this qualification is going to help me an awful lot in my role, and any future roles, in the time to come. The skills that I have learned are priceless, and I can see every single one of them being an essential skill in the future to come.
There are many extra curricular activities for me to get involved in at my place of work. From litter picking and face painting days to help with charity, to crew member gatherings at a pub for a night out with my fellow co workers. There are always options for meeting outside of work that are suited for everyone.

McDonald's is a great learning opportunity to take. It also offers fantastic services, like this apprenticeship that I have just completed, as well as Private Healthcare for it's long term employees. It is also a great self development opportunity for everyone to take part in, to help people learn more about themselves, as well as improve their current self.
The most helpful tips that I could think of to give to other people when they are initially applying for a job at McDonald's is to always be open with your co workers, as well as be friendly and un afraid to engage with them. This workplace is a great way to make friends that you may not meet otherwise.
