My role involves me running shifts or supporting other managers whilst they run shifts, i am responsible for any issues that arise on my shifts wether it’s to do with Food Safety or health and safety. I make sure that customers receive the best possible experience from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave.
I’ve learnt how to correctly manage people and how to get the best out of them. I’ve also learnt about stock systems and why they’re crucial to the business. I’ve also learned how to managed labour costs, about market shares and how much our competitors hold
I thoroughly enjoy it, No day is the same with new challenges presenting Themselves every day, Due to this is taught me how to think on my feet to solve the problems quickly and effectively. This part of the job makes sure That it is never boring As there is always something new around the corner
On the whole the program is pretty solid, There was a few issues due to COVID-19 however my training provider was able to manage them correctly After a short break we were back to work again learning online in a very organised fashion. The tutors will give you as much time as you require to really get the best out of you.
My employer couldn’t do anything else for me whether that would be giving me more time off the floor to come and complete some online learning but also taking the time to explain to me some parts of the business I didn’t understand. My coach was my business manager what really helped.
Lifetime training couldn’t be any more supportive any time I need a support I can just drop my tutor and email and he’ll get back to me straight away offering as much help as he could. And I had two Tutors over the duration of my course and both were amazing and can support me enough.
The training my qualification gave me helps me on a day-to-day basis I learned how to get the best out of my people but also how to get the best out of the business side of things to help maximise Growth within the business. It was a real eye-opener To the business side of my job
