Defined under framework as: Any Electrical Power Plant & Equipment and Protection System requires testing and commissioning to confirm that the installation and operation of new and refurbished protection plant & equipment comply with manufacturers’ specifications, company procedures and the operating parameters. Working with other engineers, they will install, conduct tests and commission protection systems and prove the integrity of other power system plant & equipment. They will be responsible for testing and commissioning on electrical power projects and ensure that the work is conducted safely and, reliably, meeting customer, quality, time and budget requirements.

There is a lot of support from the company to progress and develop, which I have found great enjoyment. I have also had great fun working with people from the company and my colleagues which is key. Overall, I have no complaints and have enjoyed National Grid to the top level
Pretty well organised with some good people who care about their jobs. It has been all over with COVID, but credit where fair as people have really tried their best. The prgamme has a good strucutre start to finish and I can see how i will meet my final goals

I have helped 2 people get apprentiships in National Grid because they are a world class training and one of my biggest and best deciisons. Overall I would tell anyone to apply as they will support you and give you what other companies could not in all departments. Very good!
The application process = make sure you do you best Interviews = prepare for what you have done, don't use school as example Assessment days = dress smartly and be social Onboarding process = lot to take in but good Experience / opportunities = sky is the loimit What would you like to have been told? = the number of oppertunties
