I care for 6 adults with severe learning disabilities during night shifts, I provide care and support, personal care, I do cleaning of the house and laundrey, give medication, provide activities, provide food and drinks, do hourly checks when customers are sleeping, fill in customers daily notes
I have learnt about barriers to communication and about autism and causes for challenging behaviour
I found it interesting and informative
It was very well organised with and I had plenty of time to complete my assignments
I can discuss problems with my manager of needed
My tutor was very helpful and supportive
It has helped me greatly to notice the barriers that may be causing challenging behaviour and how I can go about trying to prevent these
